Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Database Developer to join our team, focusing on SQL and PL/SQL development to provide reliable backend support for our applications. In this role, you will develop and maintain custom scripts, automate database processes, and optimize database performance to meet the needs of users and stakeholders. You will also be responsible for creating and managing stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, and queries, ensuring their alignment with application requirements. Additionally, you will work closely with users and other teams to maintain database schema, troubleshoot performance issues, and support data ingestion from external sources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain SQL and PL/SQL code to support reporting, analytics, and user requirements.
- develop code using technologies including .NET core, MVC.net and SSRS
- Create and implement custom scripts to automate database management tasks, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize queries to ensure optimal performance.
- Design, develop, and optimize stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, and queries in support of application development.
- Collaborate with customers, users, and developers to gather requirements and provide technical solutions.
- Maintain and update database schema and design, ensuring alignment with evolving business needs.
- Provide expert guidance on data ingestion processes, including integrating external data sources (e.g., file systems).
- Perform routine database maintenance tasks, ensuring data integrity, high availability, and overall system reliability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Database Developer with strong expertise in SQL and PL/SQL.
- In-depth knowledge of relational databases (RDBMS) and database design best practices.
- Hands-on experience with creating and optimizing stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, and complex queries.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve database performance issues.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with database automation tools and process optimization.
- Familiarity with data ingestion techniques from external sources (e.g., file systems, APIs).
- Knowledge of cloud-based database platforms (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
